日産GT-R（R35型）は日産のスポーツカースカイラインGT-Rの後継車種にあたります。
C10型スカイラインの初代2000GT-R（PGC/KPGC10型）から数えて6代目にあたる伝統的のある車です。
エンジン型式は1969年-1973年が第1世代、1989年-2002年が第2世代、R35GT-Rは第3世代となります。その内訳は下記の通りです。
